MyBridalPlan
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 4, 2026 · Last Updated: October 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how MyBridalPlan (“MyBridalPlan,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the MyBridalPlan mobile application and related services (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
MyBridalPlan is a wedding planning application that includes an AI advisor named Vera. We built this App to help you plan your wedding, and we take the privacy of your personal information seriously.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
When you create an account and use the App, we collect information you enter, including:
- Account information: your name, email address, and password (passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text).
- Wedding details: your wedding date, partner’s name, venue style, estimated guest count, and budget range.
- Planning data: budget categories and amounts, vendor information and notes, guest list details (names, meal choices, RSVP status), checklist progress, and seating arrangements.
- Conversations with Vera: the messages you exchange with our AI advisor, stored to provide memory and continuity across your planning sessions.
- Content you create: seating charts, custom tasks, and any notes you add.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information:
- Device information: device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage data: features you use, actions you take, session frequency and duration, and interaction patterns (via analytics, to improve the App).
- Crash and performance data: technical diagnostics to help us fix bugs and improve stability.
1.3 Information From Third Parties
If you sign in using Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information (such as your name and email) from those services, in accordance with their policies and your permissions.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features.
- Personalize your experience, including powering Vera’s memory and context-aware advice.
- Send you notifications you have enabled (such as budget reminders and milestone alerts).
- Process subscriptions and payments through our payment provider.
- Analyze usage to understand how the App is used and to improve it.
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse.
- Communicate with you about updates, support requests, and important notices.
3. How Vera (AI) Uses Your Information
Vera, our AI advisor, uses your wedding details and planning data to give you relevant, personalized guidance. To provide this service:
- Your messages and relevant wedding context are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses. This processing happens through a secure server; your interactions are subject to Anthropic’s data handling practices.
- Vera stores a memory summary of your planning (topics discussed, decisions made, open concerns) so it can maintain continuity across sessions. You can delete this memory at any time by deleting your account or contacting us.
- We do not use your personal conversations to train AI models, and your data is not shared with other users.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
| Who | Why |
|---|---|
| Service providers | Companies that help us operate the App — hosting (Supabase), AI processing (Anthropic), payments (RevenueCat), notifications (OneSignal), error monitoring (Sentry), and analytics (PostHog). They may use your data only to provide services to us. |
| Partners you invite | If you use partner sharing, the person you invite can see the wedding planning data you share with them, based on the permission level you choose. |
| Legal requirements | If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MyBridalPlan or others. |
| Business transfers | If MyBridalPlan is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. |
5. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and Row-Level Security that ensures you can only access your own data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data from our active systems, though some information may remain in backups for a limited period or where retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information (most of which you can edit directly in the App).
- Delete your account and associated data (available in App settings, or by contacting us).
- Export your data.
- Opt out of non-essential notifications through your device or App settings.
To exercise any of these rights, use the in-App controls or contact us at the email below.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Users
MyBridalPlan is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
